Skins Rules as played at the Potomac Curling Club: Games will be eight ends (each end will be referred to as a ‘skin’). A coin flip will determine the hammer and stone color. 8) Pace of play – Skins games can take longer to play than a regular curling game, due to the potential for an increase of rocks in play. Please play quickly to ensure you are able to play all 8 ends. 9) Un-played Ends – Teams throw one rock each, with sweepers, to determine the winners of un-played ends.
After all 16 stones are delivered in an end, the player with the rock closer to the button is the winner of the end.The winning player gets one point for each of their rocks that is closer to the button than the opponent's closest rock. There is aperiod of dead time at the completion of each end. The umpire will adviseteams when to start play for the next end.
